Anderika #1 Qualifier NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car, with a CONVERTER

The East Coast Auto Electric Team raised a few eyebrows April 13 at Virginia Motorsports Park during the NHRA Lucas Oil Series Event. Driver John Anderika put the Teams NCRC Converter Backed TAFC in the #1 Qualifier spot when he laid down a 5.637 off the trailer, then ran a 5.589 when he won the 1st round over D.J. Cox.

In the finals John was set to lay down what was likely a 5.50 pass when an air line came off the transmission, costing him a win over Pomponio and caused engine damage on the run. Bad luck this time out for the East Coast Auto Electric Team, but wow, we think they are on to something here!
